About
Can I Be Vulnerable (CIBV) is a community-rooted initiative committed to breaking the stigma around mental health, homelessness, and healing through transparency, access, and empowerment. Founded by BJ Williams after sharing his own journey with mental health and vulnerability, CIBV has grown into a movement offering hope, resources, and real solutions for underserved communities.
Our platform serves as a hub for our evolving work, including the Mental Mobile Unit—a therapy bus providing accessible, on-the-go counseling services—and our Transitional Housing Program, currently in development to offer stable housing and supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness in South Central Los Angeles.
The site also features our docuseries, sharing raw, real-life stories that spotlight resilience and raise awareness of the struggles many silently face.
We invite you to be part of this mission. Whether through donations, volunteer opportunities, partnerships, or simply sharing our message—your support helps us create lasting change. Together, we lead and grow.

Mission
At Can I Be Vulnerable, our mission is to create safe spaces for healing by promoting mental health awareness, providing accessible support services, and addressing homelessness through community-driven solutions. We are committed to empowering individuals to lead with vulnerability, connect through shared struggles, and grow toward sustainable change—because everyone deserves the chance to be seen, heard, and supported.
Vision
Our vision is to build a world where mental health care is accessible to all, vulnerability is embraced as strength, and every individual experiencing homelessness is met with compassion, dignity, and opportunity. We envision thriving communities united by empathy, driven by equity, and sustained through collective healing and growth.
